Jose and Mary Alvarez are the presidents and founders of Safari Through the Word Ministries.

They have been married for twenty years and have four children, Lexy, Hannah, Sarah and Timmy. The Alvarez have been in Christian ministry for nearly 30 years. They have done eight years of missionary work with the Pueblo and Navajo Indians.  After that, nearly two years were spent in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda teaching Bible conferences and mentoring leaders. Today they are associate pastors at Doral Vineyard, Miami Florida.

Jose and Mary have prayed in the Name of Jesus Christ and have seen hundreds of people receive physical and emotional healings in countries around the world.  Arthritis, diabetes, strokes, heart disease, AIDS, deafness, severe eye problems, stomach problems, cancer, malaria, chronic depression and witchcraft are just some of the diseases which have been healed.

Jose and Mary have a prophetic ministry that has touched the lives of thousands of people over the last twelve years, around the globe.  Countless testimonies of fulfilled prophecy and encouraging and uplifting words bringing destiny, hope and vision to many have been reported.

Jose and Mary also do mission work. Through their ministry churches have been built, illiterate adults have learned to read , water wells have been dug pastors have been sent to Bible school in East Africa and a vehicle has been purchased for a flourishing work amongst the Maasai people of Kenya.
