Joy
Grace Celebration Fellowship, Kasarani, is one of thirty-nine branches of Joy
Grace Celebration Fellowship International. It is situated at the outscats of
Nairobi city in Kenya. It is near the famous Moi International sports center
Kasarani. This locale is inhabited by people of many different tribes among the
42 tribes in the country. Its population is about 100,000 to 200,000 people.
Joy
Grace Celebration Fellowship is under the leadership of Rev. Bishop Joseph
Njogu who is the presiding general overseer. He is also the senior pastor of
the main church situated at one of the suburbs namely Githurai 44. This is the
church that has so far mothered 39 branches all over the country.
Initially
Pastor Nelson and his wife were leading an evangelistic group in their mother
church. We later started an outreach centre at Kasarani because God had laid a
burden of establishing a church at the area.
Joy
Grace Celebration Kasarani, was started by the Pastor Nelson Kahoro Ngunyi, and
his wife, Peris Waithera. It was started from a very humble beginning whereby
they both went and started the church by faith in a small classroom. The
students from that school could come and listen for the service and eventually
many of them came to give their lives to Christ. God has continued to increase
us in number and currently we are about thirty members.
The
church is under the leadership of Pastor Neslon Kahoro Ngunyi. He is the senior
presiding pastor of the church. Pst Peris Ngunyi, his wife, as the associate
pastor, assists him. We are committed to teach the righteousness according to
the word of God to the whole world and to alert people of the soon eminent
appearance of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our
vision is to reach out to people of all tribes and nationalities with the word
of God. Secondly, to lead them into a personal faith in Christ. Thirdly, to see
them experiencing a personal relationship with Christ, growing into personal
maturity in their walk with Him, and equipping them with a life-changing wisdom
of the bible, by making it accessible and understandable to all, at the church
level.
Therefore our church is committed to fulfilling the
great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Kasarani, exists to disciple the fellowship of his family to Christ-like
maturity and to equip them for ministry in the church to the world. In many
occasions God has spoken to us about using us, and this ministry, to reach out
one million souls in Kenya and beyond. Twice, He has confirmed the same through
a prophetic word from his two different servants.
We also seek to be a family of believers in a world
in which, the family unit is falling apart. God has laid in the tablets of our
hearts as the leadership of JGCF, Kasarani, the burden of restoring and
reconciling the long forsaken family institution. This is basically as the
result of increased level of sexual immorality, divorce, drunkenness, and HIV
Aids, just to mention a few vices that attributes to family breakages and moral
decay. Our church serves as a family worship centre, where everybody can be
accommodated despite of his/her social or economic status.
1.To buy a church plot. We are currently renting a hall for the church. We pay a monthly
rent of Kenya Shillings 15,000 (USA $200). In most cases, we raise this money
from our pockets and sometimes God sends well-wishers to come and help us to
raise the money. We are not funded or endowed by any organization or individuals
as of now. The ministry is also autonomous and so we do not receive any
assistance from the central /mother church. We are therefore trusting that God
will open doors for us to be able to buy a church plot of our own.
2.Bible school. In order for us to be able to achieve our
vision of reaching out people of all walks of life, it’s our vision to
establish a bible school where we shall train and educate our preachers with
the life-changing knowledge of the bible, so that they will be thoroughly
equipped for the work of the ministry in Kenya and beyond. (2Timothy 3:
16-17)
3.Discipleship center. We have seen a great need
for us to establish a discipleship centre, where our new converts and young
ministers of the gospel can be taught in preparation for supportive work of the
ministry. We have seen in many occasions’ people of God with zeal to serve and
know God going astray for lack of good discipling.
4.Orphanage. As a family worship centre, we
would like besides, to pray for many children and adults who have been orphaned
by Aids and other factors. It is our deliberate efforts and prayers that these
people can enjoy the life of salvation and feel warmth and love from the
church. We therefore wish to establish an orphanage, where these people can be
ministered unto, and a message of hope can be imparted in their hearts through
guidance and counseling and teaching them business skills.
OUR
STRENGTH
Our
strength is in the secret of worshiping God with all sincerity and serving Him
with all our hearts and everything He has given unto us. Powerful praise and
worship services are conducted very early in our church before we begin our
services. This has become the breath and encouragement in the entire church of
JGCF, Kasarani. God has been giving words of encouragements through the gifts
of prophecy and word of knowledge from among our members. We have had ministers
of God come from many different parts of the world to hold seminars,
conferences, revival meetings, and crusades in our church and even in the city
centers. We normally host them in our
small rented home in many occassions. We have seen incredible results in our
church and family after opening doors for the work of the ministry.
God
has given us the same instructions He gave to the prophet Habakkuk (Habakkuk
2; 2-3) that we shall write our vision down and make it plain on tablets so
that a herald may run with it. We started by writing it in the tablets of our
hearts and we have continually pursued it. The herald has already come your way
and that’s how this vision has gotten into your hands and attention, so that
you will pray with us and trust God for its fulfillment. We believe God will
use somebody like you in one way or another to bring this vision to come to
pass for His own glory.
Its our belief, that God has given us this vision
and that He will provide all the necessary spiritual and financial resourses for
us to be able to help you as an individual. And that you may become and do all
what God created you to do. And if you have not yet entered into a personal
relationship with the Lord, we invite you to receive Him today. His free gift
of salvation is the best gift you will ever receive.
We believe that God has a good plan for you and your family that can be fulfilled at Joy Celebration Kasarani. God has placed us here to assist you and your family to grow in Christ, learn to belong to the family of God, identify what He has called you to do, equip you to do it and encourage you as you become a fruitful l believer.
