God’s Answer for Legalism Within the Church
“I was feeling crushed by legalism within the church and I
waited on God to ask Him about it.”
I
saw myself being crushed by a big elephant – it was sitting on me. I asked the Lord what His solution was. Then the memory of the big Mack truck being
overturned by the winds of Hurricane Andrew, that I had experienced while I was
living in Miami, Florida, in the 1990’s, came back to me. I knew that the
mighty wind of the Holy Spirit was going to push the elephant of legalism off
of me. I then saw the elephant pushed off of me by the wind of the Holy Spirit;
however, my bones were still crushed. I asked the Lord what His solution was to
my crushed bones. The scripture about the Spirit who lives in me raised Jesus
from the dead, came to me, but I did not know where it was in the Bible. I
asked the Lord for a confirmation to all of this and I felt God tell me to open
up the Bible. I opened it up, and my
first glance fell on Romans 8:11-
“But if
the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised
Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through
His Spirit who dwells in you.”
