“The Narrow Path”

We were in praise and worship at a church meeting.  I was trying to enter in but felt blocked;  however, I still went through the process of asking the Lord to speak to me and through me.”

I then saw the people who were there that night entering into a big cave. We were loaded down with “stuff”. The more that we walked, the more things we had to leave behind; (like the pioneers started with furniture, etc., but ended up littering the trail with unnecessary things). The cave started out broad but continued to narrow.  I was reminded of what Jesus said, -

“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

The path ended up being so narrow it was just ledges next to cliffs and narrow tunnels that one could just crawl through. We finally had to get rid of everything except the clothes on our back, so we could be agile. The “stuff” that we had to get rid of was not just things, but it was emotional junk that would keep us from being made whole. However, as we let go and got rid of the stuff, we were equipped with everything we would need to make it through the dangerous places, like Indiana Jones type of special equipment.
