Safety From This Chaotic World

“Then I saw a large flame of fire in the middle of us and Jesus was in the middle of the flame.”

To understand what I received today, I will need to explain what I received on November 1st.  We were at a friend’s house for dinner.  Including us, we were six adults seated around the table.  After dinner we had a time of praise, and worship, and prayer, still seated at the table.  I saw the six of us forming an unbroken circle, completely united.  Then I saw a large flame of fire in the middle of us and Jesus was in the flame.  For some reason that I did not understand at that time, I was reminded of a whirling wheel.  This reminded me of the living beings that are described in the Bible as being in Heaven.  I knew that our unity was what Jesus meant when He said,

   "Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.
  "For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst."

Matthew 18:19-20

 Several days later, when I was having my time alone with the Lord, I opened up the Bible and glanced at the page to where it fell open.  It was Ezekiel 10.  I stood in awe when I started to read, because it described the whirling wheel that I had seen a few nights before.  As I was not familiar with Ezekiel, I was amazed when I read that there was a fire between the whirling wheels because that is was what I had seen.  It blessed me even further when I saw that in my Bible that chapter was entitled, “Vision of the Glory of God.”

This morning, when I went to prayer, I was upset.  The night before I had learned that a wonderful Christian family that we had known years before in another city, had been divorced.  When I went to prayer, the question on my heart was- “what happened”?

I opened up my Bible and glanced down.  The two pages were from Jeremiah 51:51 to Jeremiah 52:20. The first two scriptures on the page caught my eye,

Jeremiah 51:51,52

We are ashamed because we have heard reproach;
Disgrace has covered our faces,
For aliens have entered
The holy places of the LORD'S house.
"Therefore behold, the days are coming," declares the    LORD,
"When I will punish her idols,
And the mortally wounded will groan throughout her   land.

I proceeded to read the two pages.  Basically, what I read was that it was prophesied that Babylon would attack Israel and be judged for it.  Then Israel was judged for her sins and captured by Babylon.

Then I was made aware of all of the chaos in the world, which is getting worse and will continue to get worse.  The Lord then reminded me of the whirling wheel hovering above the chaos.  I realized that those who are completely surrendered to the Holy Spirit and walk by faith and not by sight, and live to obey Him, are in the whirling wheel and will not be affected by the chaos in the world because they are hovering over the world.  On the other hand the Christians who have not surrendered, and who have not learned instant joyful obedience to the Lord, were stuck in the world and the chaos was able to affect their lives.  I realized that the total unity that I had seen at my friends’ house that night had come because each of us had total unity with the Holy Spirit.
